This time is not an introduction of tourist spot, but an introduction of Japanese food.
The Japanese food I introduce today is the kaitenyaki.
The cold days continue this week.
Today, I will continue to introduce warm sweets as last week.
That is kaitenyaki(spinning roast).
Actually Kaitenyaki is the roots of Taiyaki.
Kaitenyaki ia sold under various names.
There are various things such as Imagawa Yaki, Tenryaki Yaki etc.
This is the name of Meotomanju.
If you go south on Konishi-dori, you will get to Sanjo-dori, but if you go further 150 meters there will be a market called Tubai-ichiba.
It is said that it is the oldest market in Nara city.
Meotomanju is sold at the shop called Naniwaya in the market.
This is called Tenrinyaki.
It is sold at a shop near the north entrance of Konishi Street.
Next, I will introduce Taiyaki.
This is Taiyaki of a shop called Takagai-shoten located on the street connected to the east and west in the vicinity of the center of Sakura Konishi Street and Eastern Shopping District.
As these basic ingredients are the same, the taste is similar, but it is also slightly different.
Normally kaitenyaki is cheap compared to taiyaki.
It may be due to its simple shape.
In any case, all these are certainly my favorite thing.
I think that you can enjoy sweets of Japanese commoners with kaitenyaki and taiyaki.
