What is the day of the risshun?
Many people know the day of the spring equinox, the day of the summer solstice, the day of the autumn equinox and the day of the winter solstice.
For these, the following is often said.
The day with the same length of night and day is the day of the spring equinox and autumn equinox.
The longest day is the day of the summer solstice.
The longest night is the day of the winter solstice.
These are the days that divide the year into four equal terms.
In Japan there are the days that divide the year into 24 equal terms.
That's the Nijushisekki.
For one year from February 4, 2018 the Nijushisekki will be the next date.
The risshun is one of the Nijushisekki.
We write in Kanji characters that risshun is "standing" and "spring".
From this character , some people say that the risshun is the beginning of spring.
However, it is still cold everyday.
I can't feel that warm of spring begins from risshun.
Let's see the temperature graph on my blog of January 21 this year.
It is about the end of the lowest temperature period.
In other words, I think that the risshun is about to start appearing little by little sign of spring.
Well, the calendar that is widely used in the world is the Gregory's calendar.
The calendar used in Japan is also the Gregory calendar.
So the beginning of the year is January 1st.
There is other beginning of the year in Japan.
It is the risshun.
The risshun is the first in Nijushisekki.
For example, in fortune telling of Japan, we often think of the risshun as the beginning of the year.
I am not a fortune teller, so I do not know your fortune.
However, I think that it is a good for people who were not lucky last year to work energetically, thinking that luck will improve from this day.
And I think that it is a good for people who were lucky last year to work hard by thinking that luck will be even better from this day.
